I read this book of sorrow a week ago and processed it as if it came from my own heart. Annie Mitchells words were written with a pain filled pen and at one time I believed no one could feel my own and I didn't care if anyone did feel it. In fact I don't want anyone to feel what I feel. But Annie Mitchell does and that gave me a very odd sense of comfort. The death of a child is almost unspeakable because it is not possible to describe the fallout of such a tragedy. After it happens, Mother's Day, Christmas, Easter, Birthdays, and family gatherings hold a poignancy I wish on no one.Annie Mitchell offers a warm hand to hold in her book, A Mother's Loss, and I reached for it on every page.
