This series has been fantastic - dark, suspenseful - and "Poison" is no different. I particularly like that all the characters are flawed in some way (some more than others) and C.J. Baker does a great job of making even the bad guys multi-dimensional. I was waiting and waiting for "Poison" to come out, and then somehow I missed it's initial release. This week, when I finally realized that it was published, I bought it and devoured it in 2 days. Now I can't wait until the next one!Product details

loved it. cj baker is a fantastic writer. i love that her writing is dark and suspensful and doesnt always have a happy ending. it elicits a range of emotions and definitely has me waiting for the next book in this series.

This was probably my favorite in the Lazarus Series. But I've really enjoyed this author and how she makes me hate the heroine one minute and love the bad guy the next. The characters are confusing, frustrating, but captivating. If you're looking for a happily ever after romance - this isn't the series for you. These books are dark, sexy and sometimes sad. But CJ Baker will leave you wanting more! I can't wait for Stormwarden!
The series remains fresh and keeps me wanting to read more. Can't wait to read the next edition and I hope that one of my favourite characters, Carmen, returns to the series. My only disappointment in reading the ebook version, were the errors - suggest a good editor to proof your work before publishing.
